Beazer has been building homes across the United States for over 35 years, but it’s history began way before that with an English builder named George Beazer. Nine generations later, the Beazer family and name continue to stand for quality home-building, craftsmanship and innovation.
George Beazer established the family trade in Marshfield, England and in 1890 the Beazer family constructed it first home on speculation and earned £120 in revenue for the year.
During the 1930’s Beazer began constructing multiple homes and communities and became recognised as quality builder in the UK.
30 years later Brian Beazer, the current Chairman of the Board, began as a trainee in the family firm and quickly became integral to its growth as a building company that was not only profitable but also as one which built quality homes.
In 1980 posted its best year to date and building 8,000 homes. This was the start of a new beginning and in 1986, Beazer moved operation to the United States and quickly expanded across the country. The success continued and in 1994, Beazer went public and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
Today Beazer is a ‘Top 10’ home builder in the U.S with operations in 16 states and over 130,000 homes under its belt.
